So Much To Deal With...

Way too much drama within the past week... Glad it's over with. I'm away from the dorms for the weekend, so I suppose it's good to get away for a bit...

Of course, finals are coming up... And those aren't fun at all. Also, I've got a paper to write for my History class that's due next Monday... Rawr.

I've already signed up for my classes next quarter, they include: Japanese 3, Science Words: Greek and Latin Roots, Art History: Western Art: Baroque to Modern, and hopefully my first upper-division class: The Supreme Court and the Constitution.

I'm hoping that next quarter won't be too tough, but I can't be certain about that, considering how lazy I am...

On a different note, I have finally acquired my Atelier Vocal Historia and Tales of the Abyss Image Album! Also, I got my Luca Truelywaath figurine (And still haven't opened it because I'm too afraid to...), Digital Devil Saga 1 and 2, Devil Summoner, Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, Street Fighter IV (The Collector's Edition), and will be getting Star Ocean: The Last Hope once I get back to school.

Yes, my backlog is DEFINITELY building up.

Not to mention Resident Evil 5, Pokemon Platinum, Mana-Khemia: Student Alliance, and Devil Summoner 2 coming in within the next few months... Among others.

Gah... I need more money and time. >__<

Meanwhile, Street Fighter IV is definitely a game that brings everyone together. We've been playing it non-stop since I got it... And well, I suck! Having Sakura doesn't help me at all... I was never good at fighting games to begin with I guess. However, it is still a lot of fun at times. although losing does suck, I just need to practice some more I guess.

I'm finally in the Tower of Ar tonelico II... Does that tell you how close I am to the end? D:

Character Rant

Alright... I kind of have something to rant about today, and I'm kind of getting annoyed by people on GameFAQs because of this.

For some reason... There always seems to be unnecessary hate for some characters. Particularly, main heroines in the Tales series. For some reason, characters like Colette Brunel and Estellise Sidos Heurassein, both very sweet, kind, and adorable characters, seem to have fans that love to hate them. I don't understand why anyone has to hate any character at all... It just seems like people are saying in their minds... "I have to hate someone in my main party, I'll just go with the default annoying heroine."

First of all, I don't see how either Colette or Estelle are annoying... They are both really likable characters that look out for their friends, and try their best to help out with their best efforts... Seriously, even if you hated Estelle, she would have helped you if you were on the verge of death, regardless! She's instinctively helps people, when she sees someone hurt, she has to heal them right away. Heck, she even feels sorry for the monsters she has to kill! I honestly don't see what is so bad about being so nice... It's like people these days hate extremely kind and caring characters for no reason at all. All they give is that, oh Estelle and Colette are both annoying!

But... Why? Because Estelle drags the party around so she can find out the truth about herself? Yuri, Repede, Karol, Rita, Judith, and Raven don't seem to mind too much... So why does the player have to? Although Judith did speak out to Estelle about dragging out the party to do whatever she wants, and it's quite CLEAR in the game she does, I still don't understand how it is annoying if it's only something used to advance the story in order for the player and Estelle herself, to learn more about who she is. Estelle is a character that actually has flaws, she's selfless to a fault, and people are STILL calling her a Mary Sue! It's ridiculous.

Also, for Colette, sure she says sorry like... For the whole game. But Lloyd apologizes practically as much as her... People only notice Colette's apologies all the time because Lloyd points them out all the time... Sure she hides her pain from the whole party until it gets extremely bad, but it's because she's WORRIED about her friends being worried. She doesn't want to burden them with her problems. Heck, I'm like that... I hate burdening my friends with my problems... It doesn't really benefit them at all to worry about me, although it is nice to let things out once in a while... And I have some really good friends that will listen to my problems no matter how minor.

There's also hate for Shirley Fennes from Tales of Legendia, and I kind of understand that a bit more, she does go kind of crazy jealous. However, I do still like her, and the only reason she did go crazy was because she didn't have many friends, she loved Senel, but Senel was in love with Stella, who was her older sister. And when Stella died, Senel didn't exactly help comfort Shirley, as he was writhing in misery as much as she was... But Senel had Chloe, Norma, and the others to bring him out of his shell. Shirley had Fenimore, but... Well, it didn't exactly work out. T__T Poor Fenimore... So yeah, Shirley is a main heroine that is actually capable of hate, selfishness, jealousy, and greed. And people hate her for that. Yet... People hate Estelle and Colette for being extremely kind, caring, and selfless... Irony eh?

There is also seemingly hate for Micaiah of Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn fame... Although I still haven't beaten the game myself, I know the jist of the rest of the story. Sure, Micaiah is kind of perfect... But she does have one flaw... Blind loyalty to her country, and that blind loyalty obviously lead her to fight for the wrong reasons. FE10 was a disappointment anyway... One reason I did like it was Micaiah though. She's a great character in my eyes.

Tear Grants of Tales of the Abyss isn't AS hated... But she's been accused of being a boring character, and that under her serious and soldier exterior, her love for cute things is a bad attempt to make her seem like a real girl... She DOES open up towards the end... And, I seriously thought Tear was a good character. Her love for cute things made her more lovable for me, and it was a bit amusing to have the other main characters (particularly Anise) tease her about it.

I think that's enough ranting for now... Although, I'm sure I forgot to mention a lot of things... But on a lighter, but strange note...

Beryl Benito, a main character from the upcoming Tales of Hearts... Is 18 years old. *shock* I seriously thought she was 13 or something... >.>; Maybe there's a story behind her appearance.

Oh, and my rant probably doesn't pertain to most people that actually read this blog. So I'm not really talking about any of my friends. Just stupid people on GameFAQs for the most part.

One more thing, Pokemon Platinum is looking to be SUPER awesome. Rebattling gym leaders, move tutors for better movesets, stronger Elite 4 after the National Dex. EEVEE AND RALTS BEFORE THE ELITE 4. It's all looking to be super exciting. And my Pokemon fandom is starting to be rekindled once again. :3

Anticipation

Brawl is less than 36 hours away now, and I am soo uber excited! So my banner is going to be Brawl themed again. This is a fun video with a catchy tune that is spreading like wildfire in the Brawl community, so I hope you enjoy it! :D

Yay Minami-ke Okawari! I'm so happy it's finally getting subbed, even though it's being subbed my amateur subbers. Either way, I greatly appreciate them being subbed! Thanks a lot random subber people! Anywho, I've grown addicted to the opening song for Okawari... It's kind of sad, I've been listening to it over and over. Oops, I really should be finishing up my English homework rather than blogging. Shame on me. I do like the art in Okawari though, seems a lot more crisp and nice.

Anywho, this is old news, but Lucario, Jigglypuff, and Ness are confirmed to be in Brawl, so yeah. Check Brawl Central, the news is all there.

Manaphy Plushie

So... I'm sitting in class waiting for it to actually start, still have about 13 minutes left and going, and I realized that I haven't updated my blog in a long while! Like oh my goddess! I wonder why I haven't updated. Those random peoples that visited my blog once or twice and commented under "Anonymous" must have stopped looking now because I'm not blogging as much anymore. Anywho, I've really been lazy and unmotivated to do anything at all lately. I'm like "ughh, noooo I don't want to go to classs."

Anywhooo, I got to hang out with Connie-sama and Stephanie this weekend! Connie-sama gave me a Manaphy plushie, so I decided to post a picture of Manaphy, I didn't get the chance to take pictures of the plushie itself, but oh well. Anywho, this weekend was fun, well my cousin and Connie-sama pretty much planned it all out without much of my consent, but they didn't even plan WHAT to do, so Stephanie butted in and she got us to go eat Ramen! Like oh my goddess, the Ramen was great! Oishi desu! We even had ice cream after, it was fun. I had forgotten to bring my control wireless thingy and my memory card for Smash, so we couldn't really play too much. :\ So oh well. We ended up watching anime and just hanging out and stuff, and it was nice to just be with them after such a long time. I love my friends. :D I hope Amanda-yan and Elizabeth can come back so we can hang out soon. I know Elizabeth is coming back for Thanksgiving so yay!

Life at UCR has been pretty cool as well, I'm having fun at the dorms with all of my hallmates! There's Christine, Poonie, Tiffany, Ryan, and a lot more people that I've gotten to know and love. They're all really awesome, I'm glad I'm in the hall I'm in! :] Oh my! Class is starting like now, I'll be stopping the blogging now. *waves*

Photoshop: First Experimentation

This is my first attempt at Photoshop! Haha, I know, it's not very great, but hey I got a compliment for it, "You did pretty good for your first try" she had said. Anywho, Alice's roommate is going to help me out with learning how to use it and Alice is going to give me the program! So I'm excited, I'm going to be able to make my own layouts and wallpapers and fill them up with my favorite characters and such! :D Well, tell me what you think about this one. Obviously, it's all about the Pochama. :D Besides I'm blogging this on Alice's character so I can actually save my own creation on my own computer. :P The Pochama picture obviously doesn't belong to me, but I created the background and stuff.

On another note... I really want Pokemon Mystery Dungeon II! Time and Darkness I believe. Haha, I'm going to be Pochama for my starter. Yay! :D I hope the story is as good as the first one. Heck the first one brought me to tears. :o

Piplup

Pochamaaaaaaaa~ In Brawl!!!!!!!!!!! Although he's only in a Pokeball... Oh well, at least he's in it! I like the name Pochama better than Piplup. *sob* Oh well, I just know he's going to have that English voice. *sob* Oh well... Pochama is like my favorite Water Pokemon right now. Yay.

Randomness

I haven't blogged for a while! It's probably because I've been playing Eye of the North with Connie-sama and Dennis. It's rather fun actually, and the story got interesting. Elincia is doing her best to kill the Destroyers and gain allies to kill them and stuff! Gwen is awesome and ruthless and so is Jora! Vekk is freakin awesome. I love the Asura, they're so awesome! When Guild Wars 2 comes out, I'm definitely making one. We actually got pretty far in the game so far, I'm just wondering who the final boss is and what when we're getting there. :o It's great to get back into Guild Wars, I've been neglecting it for a while. Also, I'm very poor in Guild Wars right now, it's so sad, I need to go hunt chests or something.

Oh oh! I got a Pochama plushie! I'm so happy, I've always wanted one Pochama is my most favorite Water Starter! Haha, I blame the anime and Hikari for making me like it so much. Oh boo, Dennis is making me want to get a 360 just so I can get all these awesome RPGs that are coming out on it too. Blue Dragon is awesome darn Dennis for making me watch the anime! *sob* Oh, I also got my new phone finally! *sob* I can't find much more to really talk about though. :o Dennis is distracting me and stuff. *waves*

Pokemon Trainer

This is one of the most shocking updates EVER! A character called "Pokemon Trainer" is playable! Sakurai really outdid himself this time! This character practically adds three new Pokemon to the roster, since the trainer doesn't fight directly and stands in the background. The Pokemon trainer sends out Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizard to fight for him! I personally can't wait to fight with Squirtle. He's the best. Haha, I never expected this character at all! I was hoping more for Pokemon characters like Lucario and stuff. This is really cool though, I'll probably end up using him for some fights! Though I would have to learn how to use Squirtle, Ivysaur, AND Charizard! His down B is revealed to be Pokemon switch, meaning he'll switch his Pokemon with his down B special move. Maybe the Pokemon each have their own movesets and Final Smash, which would be pretty cool. I'm looking forward to SSBB more and more which each update! Though how much depends on the update. xD However the three original starters being on the Pokemon Trainer will probably mean they won't be in the Pokeballs anymore. I wonder how exactly he's going to work though! I'm kind of hoping he will have alternate costumes of the other trainers! Since he's based off of the character, Red for the games, maybe his alternate costumes would be Blue, Green, Hikari, Haruka, Yuuki, Marina, Kenta, or Kouki! Who knows how this character will work until the game actually releases? Well, besides Sakurai of course. Most people wanted Charizard playable, some wanted Squirtle, and no one expected to have Ivysaur playable. That's not to say they didn't want him though. It's quite shocking either way, Pokemon Trainer might be one of my mains! I think he's named Pokemon Trainer because of Alternate Costumes, otherwise I think he would have been named Red. *shrug* Who knows? I guess Sakurai wanted to represent the Pokemon Trainers in the Pokemon games since they never were before in previous Smashes. All they usually focus on were the Pokemon themselves, but oh well!

The Elegant Gardevoir

I think 5 posts in less than 24 hours is rather excessive, but oh well! I feel compelled to, mostly because I forgot to post this awesome piece of artwork by my very awesome friend, Nicole Hall, AKA Neko. It was done on the Graffiti application on Facebook, and I love it so much! Haha, thanks Nicole! Even though I'm not sure if you'll ever read my blog. :o She drew it on Graffiti for me because I did one of Marill for her, and man, is her's uber superior to the one I did. Haha, I wish I was as good at Graffiti as her or Amanda-yan! They're so good at it! It makes me jealous. :P

I still haven't posted about Pokémon! Which is quite shocking, I love Pokémon, it's really awesome and addicting. Although I can't play it right now because my DS Lite is still out for repairs. Playing it on my DS Phat isn't the same, so I refuse to. Haha, I'm high maintenance I guess. I really need to train a new water type though! I'm thinking Slowbro for a bulky water! Though he'll still get killed by Dennis' Weavile easily. :\ Obviously, one of my most favorite Pokémon is Gardevoir. I don't know why I like it so much, but I tend to favor Psychic type Pokémon and Gardevoir was the earliest one I could get in R/S/E so I always trained it then! I grew to love it and always end up training one now. It's not the best Psychic Pokémon I could use, but I still like it for what it is. It being in the form of a humanoid woman is a coincidence for it to be my favorite Pokémon. So don't be mean! Lol. Anywho, I guess that's all for my 5th post of the day, which is pretty excessive. Haha, man I have got to stop posting so much! I should play Tales of Legendia more, I'm going to have to go through the Wings of Light again. Ergh... but after that, I only have one more place and like six bosses to go through and then the game ends! Well, once again, Happy Independence Day to all, and have a good night. I'm going out to dinner with my family like now. xD
