Welcome Week, Kirby, and Money

Well, I'm back to school, and it actually hasn't been that bad at all. Most of my new suite/hall/floormates are awesome. I feel like I've already known some of them for a long time already. Plus, several of my friends from last year visit often! So it's great fun. Although, I really have to start getting into studying soon... I REALLY want to do well this quarter, and I hope that I will be able to actually hit the books and study... We'll see how it goes.

I have one complaint so far though... My roommate, and I hope to Goddess Martel, Eolia, Frelia, and Tylia he never sees this. XD

He's kind of in your face... Of course he claims to be bipolar, but I wouldn't know how to deal with actual bipolar people... There's only so much I can take within a year... Thankfully, I probably will be able to move out into the otherside of the floor, which is where I hang out most of the time anyway.

Anywho... I've been playing Kirby Super Star Ultra, and it is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I love Kirby. I'll never get tired of the adorable pink ball of love~ He's my favorite Nintendo character. Period. Kirby will always have a place in my heart... WHICH IS WHY I REALLY WANT THAT HOSHI NO KIRBY WII TO COME OUT!

I really want to go out and buy a hard copy of the game... As well as Yggdra Union. But my family is SUPER short on money right now... I'm not sure how I'm going to do that... Blah.

Happy Belated Independence Day!

Yes, it is July 5th, but I thought I might as well make a post about the United States' belated birthday. 1776 was the year when America was freed from British rule, and now we're living in a democratic republic that is ruled by the people, sorta. Well, ruled by the people in the fact that they choose their leaders. Anywho, America is officially 232 years old! Yay! My family and I were supposed to go to Vegas for the holiday, but instead we stayed home. However, we did have an uber dinner today that involved a lot of the family, and that's always fun. :D

Anywho, I went to the Anime Expo the day before yesterday, and it was pretty fun! Although mine and everyone else's legs were sore, and feet were in pain, I thought it was worth it because I was able to buy the Ar tonelico II artbook! So I'm happy. I also bought a Kirby plush, which is adorably awesome. :D

I also added three new banners! Yay. Look for them if you are curious. :P

Anticipation

Brawl is less than 36 hours away now, and I am soo uber excited! So my banner is going to be Brawl themed again. This is a fun video with a catchy tune that is spreading like wildfire in the Brawl community, so I hope you enjoy it! :D

BRAWL Banner

Sooo... I got up a new banner, I was GOING to do a Christmas one but I felt lazy and couldn't do it before, so I ended up doing a Brawl one when it was nearing Christmas, so I thought it would be pointless to make a Christmas one for like two weeks. Soo, a Brawl one would be appropriate for now as it's coming out in a couple months which I am VERY excited for! I posted Kirby's picture because he was the first character I was really good with in Super Smash Bros. I didn't start using Pikachu much until SSBM really... And I somehow got BETTER with Pikachu than Kirby! Probably because they nerfed Kirby. Haha. Oh well. I'm going to post my previous banner here too... I don't really have much to blog about at the moment anyway, so I'm just going to like, post random stuffs if I feel like it.

I think I'm going to see if I can make Wallpapers eventually, though I'm not quite sure how to make the backgrounds actually look good yet. :o

King Dedede!

I literally shouted out "OH MY GAWD!" When I saw him on the website. KING DEDEDEE~ One of my most wanted characters to be in Brawl has FINALLY arrived! He was supposed to be in the last two but Sakurai was much too modest to put his own characters into Smash Bros. He finally made it though, and I'm UBER happy. :D KIRBY CHARACTERS FTW!

Meta Knight

Meta Knight, the mysterious anti-hero of the Kirby series was announced for Super Smash Bros. Brawl with the E3 2006 Trailer along with the other newcomers revealed like Snake and Wario. Personally, Meta Knight is one of the characters that I am most excited about playing as in SSBB. He's always been an awesome character. I remember the first time I saw him in Kirby Super Star, when he waits for Kirby to grab the Sword ability so he can have an honorable duel with Kirby. However, if he does wait too long, he gets impatient and attacks anyway. Anywho, even though Meta Knight's profile wasn't exactly revealed yet in the Smash Dojo, they revealed all of his special moves in the basic special attacks update! Which is a "How to Play" update, which most people would normally be disappointed with because well, it's a "How to Play" update, and most people already know how.

The update reveals moves that Meta Knight never really displayed before in the Kirby games. If he did, I must have missed them, or forgot about them. Well, he has been playable in a lot of Kirby games lately, so maybe I missed them in Canvas Curse or Air Ride or something. Anywho, I'm very excited about being able to use Meta Knight, he was one of the characters I really wanted in SSB, along with King Dedede because they would represent the Kirby series that I hold so dear. I've been a fan of the Kirby series for a really long time now, so obviously, I want more Kirby characters in. However, since the creator of SSB is Masahiro Sakurai, who is also the creator of the Kirby series, he's a bit modest about using his own characters. I think he should include them anyway, even though he would rather put in other people's characters before his. I certainly would! Kirby has only had one representative since the original, and that was himself. At least he has Meta Knight to accompany him now.

It is pretty well known by Kirby fans that under Meta Knight's mask is a blue Kirby. Meta Knight would obviously be the same species as Kirby, and I find that very interesting. Most people think that Meta Knight is evil though, mostly because he's been a boss quite a few times. However, considering he's an anti-hero, he's not all that bad. Sure he has used some evil ways to do what he thinks is right, but that doesn't mean he's necessarily evil. It's quite sad though, a lot of people percieve Meta Knight as evil. In Kirby and the Amazing Mirror and Kirby Squeak Squad, Meta Knight assists Kirby in various ways, even by letting Kirby use his sword! The anime depicts Meta Knight as wanting to protect Kirby as well, and the anime was produced by Sakurai, so I think it's safe to say it's canon. Some may argue though, I'm just hoping that they don't use Meta Knight's dubbed voice for SSBB's English version. His spanish accent makes him sound too much like Zorro, the masked warrior from those movies. Frankly, I don't think it matches very well. Same with King Dedede's southern accent, ugh. Hopefully, they'll keep in the Japanese voices like they did for SSBM. Well, Jigglypuff got her English voice actress probably because the name was different. Jigglypuff saying "Purin" wouldn't seem right to the American audience. Call me bias against dubbed voices, I don't care too much. I don't mind Jigglypuff's voice because I grew up with it anyway. Haha.

They did reveal what Meta Knight's special moves would be, but they didn't exactly reveal what they did, so I assume there is going to be another update explaining that. A lot of people will probably complain about it though. I really should stop reading the GameFAQs message boards, some of them just really annoy me, yet I can't stop going back to read what their opinions are. x__x

Kanon

Well, I just finished watching Kanon today, I have to say while it is a very good anime with a very great ending. Overall, it was very depressing! I suppose that's partly why I like it though, it's a change of pace from my other happy anime. Kimi ga Nozomu Eien was depressing to, but not exactly in the way that would have been pleasant. Kanon however, focuses on things like dreams and miracles, plus there is the supernatural factor in Kanon, which automatically makes it better. Haha, well why would I want to watch realistic anime if I already live in the real world? xD I actually grew to like practically all the characters. Ayu is just plain awesome, Mai is uber cool, Nayuki is funny, Makoto is pretty cool too, and Shiori is awesome. Haha, I repeated myself several times there. A lot of the supporting characters were pretty awesome as well, man I need a better vocabulary. Anywho, thanks again Kristina for recommending this anime to me! Haha, now you got me starting to watch Air, which I should be starting soon. I still need to watch Gunslinger Girl though.

Anywho, since I haven't been blogging as often as I should have been, I'll just talk about what happened yesterday I guess. Smash character news! Peach finally has her profile! She seems to play practically the same as she did in SSBM, which would be expected. Haha, probably her Final Smash will come from Super Princess Peach though, something about her has to. It's a good thing though, I'm pretty good with her! Haha, I can somewhat kick ass with her, it's quite fun. I actually never intended to play as her at first, but I started using her in the event battles, it was fun! So I started getting pretty good with her because I was playing the event battles with her. Haha, it sucks though. I think I'm better with her than Kirby now. Kirby is my favorite Nintendo character, has been since elementary school! I hope I can get better at Kirby when Brawl comes out. :o The character I'm best with right now would have to be Pikachu. Haha, but in Brawl, I have so many characters I want to main all at the same time! Pikachu, Kirby, Meta Knight, Ike, Pokemon Trainer, Pit, Peach, somewhat Zelda, Yoshi. Good heavens! Haha, I guess I like video game characters too much. Peach's design is pretty awesome though! Her dress hasn't looked that way before, and she looks much more detailed than any of her previous incarnations. Oh and she has her parasol from Super Paper Mario! She still uses Toad as a shield though, which I consider very sad. Poor Toad!

Anywho, Elizabeth came over to my house yesterday! We pretty much spent the day playing her Naruto game and unlocking all the characters. Turns out, we didn't even have to work to get them all! It was pretty fun being Tsunade and Hinata though. Haha, it sucks though, she could pwn me pretty easily with Itachi. He must be rigged or something! The game was dubbed though, so I pretty much cringed when I heard something out of character and got a bit annoyed by the voices. Haku shouting "Gang way!"? Whoever thought Haku would ever say that is insane! Sasuke saying "Chew on this!" made me cringe! Okay, I suppose that's enough ranting about dubbed voices. Haha, oh well. It was fun though, me and Elizabeth were pretty even on matches for once! Probably only because she used Itachi though. :3 Wow, I'm surprised. I acutally like the English boxart better than the Japanese one! Haham the English one is pretty cool, so... I'm posting that one up instead of the Japanse one like I usually do!

Densetsu no Stafy

Oh my goddesss~ I really want to play the Densetsu no Stafy games, but THEY'RE NEVER RELEASED OUTSIDE OF JAPAN! *sob* Another reason to learn Japanese! Stafy is so adorable! I have to say, haha. This games remind me of Kirby so much, and I just grew very fond of him just by looking at art, and reading about the game and what the story could be about. I also watched videos on Youtube about the games and they look so fun~ I want to play his games ever so badly! Stafy seems like such an awesome character, I would do almost anything to get them released in the United States. I don't even know why they aren't, there is no reason as to why they aren't. Stafy makes cameo appearances in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, I remember it! Super Princess Peach too! But he was named "Starfish" and a "Prince from an unknown land" which is true because Stafy really is a prince.

Which brings me on to my next topic. STAFY FOR BRAWL! I really really hope Stafy gets into the character roster for Super Smash Bros. Brawl! He would be one of my mains most certainly! Mostly because I tend to be good with the cutesy characters like Kirby, Pikachu, Ice Climbers, and such. Besides! I tend to favor these characters anyway. Ike and Pit are probably going to be my exceptions for the cutesy characters, as well as Peach and Zelda. Haha, well, I really want to see Stafy in Brawl. If he doesn't make it, I probably will be sad, but will get over it. I think his game series needs representation though. I mean really, he's pretty popular in Japan, and his game has had cameos and Wario even cameoed in his own game. I think Densetsu no Stafy 3. Haha, I know, I'm a bit obsessed, but I love Stafy. He's so awesome, just like Kirby. :] Besides, I created my own star character before, though he wasn't a starfish and was simply a star. xD
