Video Games of November

So... November is pretty game-crazy. Haha, I'm going to be poor because of this month, five games coming out for this month, it's quite ridiculous. I'm not really including the Wii Zapper either, which comes with Link's Crossbow Training but I'll probably get that anyway. *Shrug* Anywho, I feel like listing the games that I'm getting/have gotten this month, including a couple more games I have failed to list before because I was preoccupied. Anywho, FE10 is up first! I've already introduced this game in a previous post and I'm still loving it. I love Micaiah! Haha, but yeah. This game is awesome, I'm actually playing through FE9 again, and it's not that hard going through it at all. Probably because I played it like five times and I know exactly what to do. Lol.

Then there's Mario & Sonic at the Olympic games. I'm still not sure exactly how good this game is because I have like, nobody to play it with. I tried to get my sisters to play it with me, sorta, but they still haven't. Maybe I'll get to play it with them over the break, or I'll bring Elizabeth, Connie-sama, Stephanie, and them over or something. It's a cool concept though, bringing Mario and Sonic together before Brawl, it seems like a fun game too, I just haven't been able to give it a chance yet, partly because of school.

Super Mario Galaxy! Haha, this game is pretty awesome even though I only played it for like 15 minutes. Princess Rosalina is pretty cool, and I love the whole theme. The only part I don't like is how Peach gets kidnapped again. Well, the way Bowser kidnaps Peach this time is practically the same way he did it in Paper Mario! Haha, I was laughing about that, it was quite amusing because I love Paper Mario ever so dearly. Except Mario is still in space and being assisted by Princess Rosalina instead of Mario having to collect the Star Spirits in the Mushroom Kingdom. I heard the game was REALLY good though, so yeah I'm looking forward to playing it more.

Like oh my goddess it's Final Fantasy XII-2! xD Anywho, I have NO idea how this game is going to be, but I'm getting it because it's Final Fantasy. Vaan and Penelo are back, and I'm pretty sure Fran and Balthier are as well, but where's Ashe?! Anywho, I still need to beat FFXII anyway. xD

SOUL CALIBUR LEGENDS! I really can't wait for this game to come out, it seems so AWESOME. C0-op game play FTW. Sophitia is in it tooo~ Oh love and happiness. Haha, I have no idea when this game is going to come out though, it's either this week or next week, but I'm so excited! I still can't believe that Lloyd is in it though.

Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions, the remake of Final Fantasy Tactics for PS1! I absolutely LOVE this game, but I haven't been able to play because FE > FFT, oh and Zelda: Phantom Hourglass kind of took my time for this too. So yeah, I think I'll beat it eventually... I got this with my PSP, yes... I actually got one, it has Darth Vader on the back! But yeah. It's pretty awesome.

RIVIERAAA~ Yes, I finally got this game, and even though I really wanted it over the summer, and now I finally have it, I barely gave it any time at all. I know, quite sad really. I was so excited about it too and now all these other great games came out and I have to beat those too! UGHH! SO MANY GAMES! Oh well, I'll try to beat them all eventually. :o

Well yeah, that's pretty much all I wanted to say right now... Hmmm. Oh and thanks to the people that actually commented my blog! Mostly Amanda-yan, but other people too, I TRULY appreciate it. :D I really should talk more about my life than just my games and anime though. LMAO. Oh well, maybe if I feel like opening up more. xD

Petey Piranha

Wowzers! So there ARE bosses for the SSBB Adventure mode, Subspace Emissary! This is getting me much more excited about SSBB than ever before! It seems that the story will be much more linear than I thought though. Adventure mode will seemingly be a REAL Adventure Mode with an actual story! Petey Piranha is the first boss of the adventure mode! It seems like Kirby is the one to have to fight them, and before the fight, Petey kidnaps Peach and Zelda in those cages as seen in the video clip that Sakurai posted in Smash Dojo previously. All I can say is... Poor Princesses! Peach and Zelda are going to be used as weapons! It's so sad! Also, by Sakurai's words, it seems like we can only save one of them! Which is even sadder. Lol, it's going to be a very hard choice. The fact that there will be boss characters though makes me happy, I've always wanted such a thing in SSB. Subspace Emissary is getting so much more interesting by the updates! I'm just wondering how exactly it's going to be played. It will probably be revealed later on though. I'm wondering though, Petey seems to be a boss in a lot of Mario games lately, and now he seems to becoming a mainstream boss! He's been in a LOT of games since Super Mario Sunshine actually. He was one of the most memorable boss fights after all, and he is appearing in sports games and such. *shrug* I wonder how he became so popular. xD Who knows if boss characters will be able to be playable though? I highly doubt it.

I've just noticed that most of my posts have been about Super Smash Bros. lately... It must be because I've been playing a lot of Melee, and this week's updates for Brawl have been pretty awesome. Oh well, we'll see what happens. Though after a whole week of awesome updates, you would expect the next week's to be less exciting. xD Oh well, I appreciate the fact that there actually are updates every weekday though. :D

W-wings!

Obviously, Yoshi was announced for Brawl weeks ago, I'm only posting up his picture because I haven't yet! Anyway, a very unexpected Final Smash for Yoshi was announced though! Yoshi will be able to grow Wings and fly around for a limited amount of time while breathing fire on his opponents! Sound familiar? It all comes from Super Mario World! Which was Yoshi's very first appearance in a video game! Super Mario World's version of Yoshi was able to gain wings when he had a Blue Koopa Shell in his mouth, he was also able to breath fire with a Red one in his mouth. Well, Yoshi's Island also allowed Yoshi to breath fire with those Red Watermelons, and I think Super Mario 64 DS also gave Yoshi the ability to breath fire. However, the main reference is to Yoshi's first appearance in the Mario series! Where he eventually got his own individual franchise and series to himself. Although it's still technically a sub-series of the bigger Mario universe, just like how Donkey Kong is.

Yoshi has always been one of my favorite Mario characters! In games like Mario Party and Mario Kart, he was always the character I chose, so I'm kind of excited about his Final Smash! According to Sakurai, he's mixing elegance and beauty with a bit of clumsiness! Haha, Yoshi has always been awesome, which is why I bought his games. Yoshi's Island, Yoshi's Story, and Yoshi's Island DS. I still need to beat Yoshi's Island DS though... I never really used Yoshi as a main character in Smash, but I did for a short while, I remember getting pretty good at him too! However, I don't know what happened but I kind of stopped playing as him as much. He was pretty good too! Very durable, he doesn't get knocked off the stage very easily. Oh well, maybe I'll try to be him more as I play SSBM to get everything back. I really can't wait for SSBB though. :o

Kanon

Well, I just finished watching Kanon today, I have to say while it is a very good anime with a very great ending. Overall, it was very depressing! I suppose that's partly why I like it though, it's a change of pace from my other happy anime. Kimi ga Nozomu Eien was depressing to, but not exactly in the way that would have been pleasant. Kanon however, focuses on things like dreams and miracles, plus there is the supernatural factor in Kanon, which automatically makes it better. Haha, well why would I want to watch realistic anime if I already live in the real world? xD I actually grew to like practically all the characters. Ayu is just plain awesome, Mai is uber cool, Nayuki is funny, Makoto is pretty cool too, and Shiori is awesome. Haha, I repeated myself several times there. A lot of the supporting characters were pretty awesome as well, man I need a better vocabulary. Anywho, thanks again Kristina for recommending this anime to me! Haha, now you got me starting to watch Air, which I should be starting soon. I still need to watch Gunslinger Girl though.

Anywho, since I haven't been blogging as often as I should have been, I'll just talk about what happened yesterday I guess. Smash character news! Peach finally has her profile! She seems to play practically the same as she did in SSBM, which would be expected. Haha, probably her Final Smash will come from Super Princess Peach though, something about her has to. It's a good thing though, I'm pretty good with her! Haha, I can somewhat kick ass with her, it's quite fun. I actually never intended to play as her at first, but I started using her in the event battles, it was fun! So I started getting pretty good with her because I was playing the event battles with her. Haha, it sucks though. I think I'm better with her than Kirby now. Kirby is my favorite Nintendo character, has been since elementary school! I hope I can get better at Kirby when Brawl comes out. :o The character I'm best with right now would have to be Pikachu. Haha, but in Brawl, I have so many characters I want to main all at the same time! Pikachu, Kirby, Meta Knight, Ike, Pokemon Trainer, Pit, Peach, somewhat Zelda, Yoshi. Good heavens! Haha, I guess I like video game characters too much. Peach's design is pretty awesome though! Her dress hasn't looked that way before, and she looks much more detailed than any of her previous incarnations. Oh and she has her parasol from Super Paper Mario! She still uses Toad as a shield though, which I consider very sad. Poor Toad!

Anywho, Elizabeth came over to my house yesterday! We pretty much spent the day playing her Naruto game and unlocking all the characters. Turns out, we didn't even have to work to get them all! It was pretty fun being Tsunade and Hinata though. Haha, it sucks though, she could pwn me pretty easily with Itachi. He must be rigged or something! The game was dubbed though, so I pretty much cringed when I heard something out of character and got a bit annoyed by the voices. Haku shouting "Gang way!"? Whoever thought Haku would ever say that is insane! Sasuke saying "Chew on this!" made me cringe! Okay, I suppose that's enough ranting about dubbed voices. Haha, oh well. It was fun though, me and Elizabeth were pretty even on matches for once! Probably only because she used Itachi though. :3 Wow, I'm surprised. I acutally like the English boxart better than the Japanese one! Haham the English one is pretty cool, so... I'm posting that one up instead of the Japanse one like I usually do!

Mario Strikers Charged

I got Mario Strikers Charged yesterday! I didn't really expect to, but it's actually quite fun! It is difficult though, even with my cousin's help. We tried fighting with Peach at first, but we were failing miserably, so we switched over to Daisy. I kind of want to try being Yoshi and Bowser Jr. though, but oh well! The game is much more violent and graphic than I expected it to be! Daisy tackles Peach like nothing! It's as if they're not even friends and they hold grudges against each other! It's quite funny actually. xD I'm actually a bit surprised at what Peach's Megastrike looks like, she turns into an angelic Peach with wings! Is it me, or are angel wings on female leads in video games becoming common? Well, okay not really, Colette from Tales of Symphonia and Lita from Atelier Iris are two examples, there might more more I forgot about already but oh well.I think I had more to talk about the game yesterday, but I never got to blogging. Dennis bought the previous game, Super Mario Strikers for the Gamecube before, like last year. I thought it was pretty fun! We ended up beating all the cups and stuff, so that's why I kind of got interested. I think it's funny that they ended up depicting the characters in a much more mature way than the other games. Peach and Daisy act like they're "hot stuff", and Waluigi does this vulgar action that I do not wish to describe, well, he did it in the last game too...

Eh, well since Dennis got here we've just been playing Tales of Pirates and this game. He brought One Piece Grand Battle Rush and Battle Stadium D.O.N. too, but I suck at those games now. Lol. Eh, I might try the onlineness on Mario Strikers later on, I think I'm still not as good as I should be at the game. Haha, since Dennis is helping me most of the time when we play it. It is fun though! The Strikers Cup Challenge mode is kind of tiring though, we have to go through all three cups with one captain and one team, and we have to go through a certain amount of matches to get to the elimination round, and if we lose the elimination round, we just lose! *sob* That's what happened when we were Peach. We seem to be doing a lot better with Daisy though, probably because we have better sidekicks and know how to play better now, so I suppose that we could win much easier. It will still be tough though. I'm glad I found this great Mario site though! It has a lot of images and information about the series, so I can go and look through it sometimes. Well, I suppose that's all for today, not sure what else to talk about...

News Explosion!

Wow, I forgot to post yesterday, but a LOT of things happened yesterday. The Nintendo E3 Press Conference was awesome, lots of information streamed out to us. Nintendo announced the release dates for Super Smash Bros. Brawl as well as Super Mario Galaxy! With Super Mario Galaxy coming out on November 12th and Super Smash Bros. Brawl coming out on December 3rd, I've got some money to be saving. Fire Emblem 10 is also coming out in November, according to IGN, not sure if it's true though. They also revealed Donkey Kong as a character in the short video that was presented at the press conference, and officially on the site at midnight last night. Also, Mario Kart for the Wii! *excitedness* I saw Toad and Baby Mario as playable characters along with the traditional, Mario, Peach, and Luigi and such. Haha, I'm so excited. I've always loved Mario Kart. Oh, did I mention I got my DS Lite back? It's totally brand new, everything was reset, which makes me kind of sad, I have to change all of my friend codes now, so if you need them just ask me. Uhh, anywho it seems like Zelda still has her old moveset, seeing as she can still use Din's Fire, I was hoping they would give her something more to her current character though, like in Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, she helped by using Light Arrows. *shrug* Oh well, I guess. You never know, she might have something new. Also, Wii Fit was announced, it I'm assuming is mainly for staying Fit! I hope it helps, haha, I think I need to stay fit myself. Anywho, they said Mario Kart is going to come out early next year, with onlineness in both racing and balloon battle for the first time! Which is awesome. I can't wait. I'll be in college though, I hope I'll still be able to get these games. :\ Oh and I found the picture with Donkey Kong kidnapping Zelda hilarious, so I just put it up. I'm at Chapter 6 of Mercedes' book right now, but I won't make a big post about her until I get to the Epilogue at least. Haha, Mercedes is really awesome though. :P

Anywho, I still can't believe it but I recently just got contact from one of my best friends from Elementary school! We're going to the same college. It's amazing! I never imagined that we would end up going to the same college. It's such a small world. Haha, anywho I'm excited to be able to talk to her again after so many years. I never forgot her, even though we haven't talked since like the 6th grade or something. xD
