Argh Laziness... And Cross Edge Impressions!

Wow, I've been much too lazy to make actual blog posts as of late haven't I? That's why nobody really looks here anymore I guess... Sorry guys! I'll try to liven it up a little more somehow...

So, most of you guys have probably heard by now, but I HAS A PS3! Yay! I'm well on my way on going through Cross Edge, and it is so much love. Shurelia, Aurica, Misha, Lilia, Wuim, Roze, Marie~ All are awesome! The Mana-Khemia 2 characters do make me want to play the actual game, tis a shame that Cross Edge came out before Mana-Khemia 2, but oh well! Either way, I'll play both anyway.

The gameplay is a lot more complicated than I expected! It takes a bit of getting used to, but it's still uber fun. The character fanservice is great! Shurelia is still getting lost and tripping in battle. Very MOEEEE indeed. The story hasn't been all that exciting, but the characters more than make up for it! Yuuto is a jerkass though, and I don't like him too much. Mikoto however, is such a sweetheart! She's constantly looking out for everyone in the "family" as Misha has put it. And boy, is it a huge family, and it's only expanding! I'd say this is the only RPG where you have OVER 9000 unique characters to choose from. Which obviously makes it difficult to choose a permanent team for me... As I do end up liking a lot of them. XD

Also, the Ar tonelico II costumes for the Ar tonelico I Reyvateils are just so much win.

I should also mention BlazBlue shouldn't I? Great fighting game! I haven't played it too much lately because of Cross Edge, but I absolutely love it! And I have so many friends that I've met through the Backloggery that have it, it's going to be a blast to play even more! Noel and Rachel are my current favorites, but that could still change, since I haven't had too much time with it. If you have a PS3 and BlazBlue, hit me up!

Metafalica

Yes, I have finally achieved Metafalica... Last week. I finally was able to beat Ar tonelico II last weekend. I'm currently on Spring Break this week which is why I was able to. I need to go back and get all 100 I.P.D.s to join Chroche's fanclub though. The ending was spectacular! It makes me wonder how good Luca, Jakuri, and Cocona's endings are... Although the last parts of  it will be the same. The only difference would be the scene with said girl and Chroah (A lovey-dovey scene. XD) That said, despite all the localization mishaps, I really enjoyed the game. Although the game did freeze on me randomly at least 5 times... Mostly during I.P.D. fights, but once while I was looking through Chroche-sama's costumes... I know I'll be going back to play through Ar tonelico II again eventually, because it really is an awesome game with lovable characters and a great story.

Also, I finally finished Clannad ~After Story~ yesterday. Very very very sad story. I cried several times. The ending was super though! Miracles can happen if you try apparently. (Well, at least in Key produced stuffs) Everyone was happy in the end, although there was a lot of hardship to be had for that to happen. Even though, the last few episodes now seem meaningless... But anywho, Ushio = absolutely adorable. Watch the anime if you can, I think the second season was a lot more depressing and serious than the first season. I'm not sure which one I could consider better, but they're continuations of each other, so I'm not sure if we can compare...

Also, I need to find a way to get a PS3 soon... Lots of Cross Edge news has been coming out as of late... And I just really really want to play that game. Hopefully NISA won't screw it up like they did with Ar tonelico II... And yes, the costume above is Misha is Chroche-sama's costume. Which was a big surprise for me when I first got a look at it thanks to raymk-san from A Reyvateil's Melody.

Well, that's all I could think of writing for today, got to do some house chores...

Click the NISA Logo for the interview... Cross Edge is coming out here in March! D: Now I seriously need a PS3 before then... Or else. I wasn't anticipating this! RAWR!

BUT YAY IT'S COMING AND I'LL UNDERSTAND IT! AND SO IS MANA-KHEMIA 2! ZOMG! NISA, I love you to death more than ever right now... Even if you did butcher Ar tonelico II's names and probably will butcher Mana-Khemia 2's names... But, THANK YOU SO MUCH! Although at the same time, I feel remorse because that's a LOT of money going out of my wallet... Rawr. Atelier Annie might come here too....

Oh well, I suppose this means I get to play Disgaea 3 and Valkyria Chronicles after all... Now I'm hoping a lot of games like Persona 5 and Ar tonelico III are coming out on the PS3 and hopefully Vesperia can be ported to the PS3...

What?! Don't glare at me like that! I have to get a PS3 for more than just 3 games! D:

Sanae = Philia? D:

Okay... This might be complete and utter nonsense to some of you... But watching Clannad ~After Story~ Episode 2 and seeing Sanae dressed up like that made me think... Wow. She looks very very very similar to Philia! D:

Considering Sanae is only TEMPORARILY dressed up like this... The fact that she looks just like Philia is kind of amusing! Of course, this is probably purely coincidental... But the even more ironic thing is that Philia and Sanae are both seiyuued by the same seiyuu, Inoue Kikuko! Which makes me laugh... I'm not sure if she was ever dressed like this in the actual Visual Novel of Clannad, but if she was, I would probably jump for joy at the unintentional (or is it?) reference to Philia Phillis of Tales of Destiny fame.

Of course, this probably doesn't mean much to most people, because a lot of anime/video game characters have similar appearances in some way... But it just seems bit coincidental to me! I mean, they have the same seiyuu, and Sanae randomly decided two wear her hair in two braided pigtails and glasses as a disguise... Just turn her hair green and make her wear priestess garb, and she might really be Philia. :3

On the subject of Tales... The Tales of the Abyss anime is REALLY REALLY good so far. I loves it. They made Mieu even more adorable than in the game... And Ion is awesome! Although I miss Otani Ikue as his voice. (Even though I never really heard her voice Ion all that much...) But Pikachu and Chopper's voice on Ion would have been great. :D

I'm also doing a lot better in my Japanese class than I expected! It's quite interesting... Considering some of the students of actual Japanese-descent seem to need more help than I do... I shouldn't say things like that though. It's just plain mean of me. I'll do my best to help them out though! :3


Random 'shop of the day. Made it yesterday. Marie from Atelier Marie using her Cross Edge Art. Speaking of Cross Edge, yesterday I edited Wikipedia and added all the Seiyuu of the Playable characters for Mana-Khemia 2! Yes, it was I that found them all and put them in the English wikipedia! Of course, I have to thank Lazy for finding the Japanese Wikipedia for Mana-Khemia 2... I also found the seiyuu for Marie through that Wiki, it's quite fascinating.

Oh yeah... I just remembered my summer goal... It was an utter failure. I didn't beat as many games as I possibly could have...

That's it... I got really close to beating Metroid Prime... But stopped at like near the end... Like I usually do with some games... x__x

Oh well! I'll probably get to beat a few games over the school year... Although I don't think I'll be able to beat that many... End post.

Random Photoshops

Okay, I guess they're not TOO random... But these are the photoshops I worked on this week (and last, sorta).

Guess I feel like showing them off because the topics on various forums that I used to post them on failed... So yeah. :D

Oh yeah... And for some reason, I've been using the Harrington font on everything... Maybe because it's not too fancy, or not too normal. Plus it's very Talesy if you want it to be. /ok

These characters are... Jakuri from Ar tonelico II: Sekai ni Hibiku Shoujo-tachi no Metafalica, Ulrika Myberg from Mana-Khemia 2: Ochita Gakuen to Renkinjutsushi-tachi, and Shurelia-sama from Ar tonelico: Melody of Elemia/Sekai no Owari de Utai Tsuzukeru Shoujo and Cross Edge(Which is where the avatar art came from).

I relatively like all of them in terms of design and personality, despite not knowing too much about Ulrika... But I've heard enough about them to like them. :3
