Ar tonelico: Melody of Elemia

Ar tonelico! So, I got this game like... last year in February I think... 2006. I didn't really start playing it until the couple weeks before Winter Break, and now I'm wondering WHY I waited so long. This game is freakin AWESOME! I expected no less from Gust... but I guess I was turned off by the Sci-Finess of it at first, but it's very fantastical too. I don't understand why I didn't start playing it until now. Anywho, the art is beautiful as always, Gust's video games always have beautiful art. In fact, the art was the whole REASON for me buying Atelier Iris, and I'm glad I did because that is what introduced me to Gust's games. Thank you NISA for localizing Gust's games! Now if only you would announce that you're localizing Ar tonelico II... I wouldn't mind them localizing Atelier Lise either... Hmm...

So yeah, Ar tonelico is an RPG that is very character and story-oriented, and I have to say that this game has a ton of sexual innuendo, it's quite humorous actually. The headline of the game is "You never forget your first..." Of course, it's referring to diving into the Reyvateil's minds like Aurica and Misha, but even diving is practically referred to as sex, though it really isn't. The characters are pretty awesome though, I don't have too much fondness for Lyner... He's the typical main character that wants to protect everything and everyone. Jack is pretty cool actually, I like his Gatling Gun, but otherwise, he's still not up there for my plethora of favorite characters. Meh at Radolf, I barely use him and he's not very likable to me, though he's not a bad character himself. Kruche is awesome, that's all I need to say about her. Ayatane is pretty cool too, really interesting character. Aurica, I like her but she does hate herself a bit too much, good thing that if we play through her path, she turns around and we can SEE that she is growing as a person. I LOVE MISHA! She's so awesome! She's the only reason I'm playing Aurica's path first, so I wouldn't mind playing through the game again with Misha's path. Then there's Shurelia, who is also pretty awesome... The music is also pretty awesome, and that's very very rare for me to say.

Oops I think I ranted too much now. WALL OF TEXT! *gasp* Sorry about that.
