Fate: Velvet

Velvet, the princess of Valentine and the bastard child of Demon Lord Odin. Twin sister to Ingway, half-sister to Gwendolyn, granddaugher to King Valentine, lover of Cornelius. Velvet's story is very intricate, it focuses on the prophecy of the inevitable Armageddon to be brought upon Erion. Apparently, it was her and Ingway's fate to become cursed and die horrible deaths, but Velvet was seeking a way to save herself and her brother. Unfortunately, Ingway was doing his own sinister deeds, and now I know why he was not playable at all. Haha, Ingway is much more of an Anti-Hero than Oswald, it's quite interesting. He uses evil means to do what he believes is good for the people he cares about. Turns out, he holds a horrible secret, it was him that destroyed Valentine! *gasp* He was the one that unleashed the Cauldron that destroyed his kingdom, and he was the one that gave Titrel to the Fairies which started in inevitable war between the Aesir and Vanir! Man, Odin Sphere's story is freakin awesome, I just can't believe how great it is right now. How all the characters' lives are intertwined and how they can avert prophecy. The game is very tragic though, I'm not going through the true ending yet. I'm doing that last, so I'll probably cry a lot! Besides, it's better, I get to feel all the emotions of the bad ending before I can with the True Ending. I'm going to make a separate post about the first chapter of Armageddon after this one, even though that will show up first. xD

Anywho, back to Velvet, she's actually pretty interesting to play, though I was a bit frustrated at how weak her attacks were at first. It really paid off to level up a bit, but I think he HP level is a bit low, but that's not big deal as long as her Psypher level is up there. Velvet has a lot of lag between her attacks though, haha. Which is probably what frustrated me the most, with me getting damaged WHILE attacking the evils. My goodness, Velvet had the most difficult fights of all the books. She had to fight Belial AND Beldor, as well as one of the End Game bosses in her epilogue! It was crazy really, but I ended up pulling though, I do like Velvet quite a bit, she's trying to avert her own destiny. I forgot the name of her weapon already, it was only mentioned once, I think someone on GameFAQs told us the name of the weapon, *goes to check* Graveryl! That's it, a chain that can whip monsters to death! Woooo~ Haha, well on to Armageddon, but I think I'm going to play through Gwendolyn's and Cornelius' books again, they are a bit underleveled for Armageddon, and they don't have any Elixers. I need to prepare them. I might have to for Mercedes as well, she doesn't have Elixers either, but other than that she's fine, so I don't think I'll need to a whole lot.
